If you’re like most of our readers, you’re an intelligent, thoughtful, high-achiever. And now you want to leave a lasting impression on your world in the form of a book.
But something keeps getting in the way.
There just seems to be too much to do and too little time.
Does This Sound Like You?
- Do you feel like life is coming at you faster than you can manage it, so you ask yourself – why would you take a book on?
- Do you fear that the book you want to write may not be as good as you’d like it to be?
- Do you worry that the complexity of writing something so long will drown you in details?
If so, you’re not alone. All authors have felt this way. Take a look at this on the very brilliant Austin Kleon’s site.
We Know How You Feel
We know what it feels like to be in over your head when it comes to writing your book. It took us almost 15 years to figure out how to streamline the process of writing and publishing a book.
We have faced the reality that there’s always more to do than there is time when it comes to crafting the perfect book.
The answer is not to do MORE
But we also realise that the answer isn’t simply to get more done. The answer is to get the right things done.
But having developed that step-by-step process we now trust the process utterly. It works for us.
We Want to Share Our Knowledge
We also helped train a generation of journalists when we launched the Journalism Training Centre in the UK in 1993.
We didn’t know it when we started out, but the success of our training would get hundreds of writers into work within weeks of training with us.
We’re not bothered by awards, but have to admit it was pretty special when we won a National Training Award from the UK government “for excellence in training”. (Largely because we got to meet Valerie Singleton from the children’s TV show Blue Peter!)
Now we want to share our experience of writing and publishing a dozen books.
